10th Annual Homelessness Marathon on WEFT 90.1FM

Tune in to WEFT 90.1FM for the 10th Annual Homelessness Marathon originating from Fresno, CA starting at 6 p.m., CST on Tuesday, February 20th and ending at 8 a.m., CST on Wednesday, February 21st.

The Homelessness Marathon is the world's leading radio broadcast focusing on homelessness and poverty. The program will air on over 100 radio stations. More than 30 stations across Canada carry a parallel Canadian Homelessness Marathon. For the latest visit their blog.

WEFT will once again inform the local shelters and advocacy groups working with those who are homeless about the program so the residents and advocates can tune in and as well as call in with their own personal accounts.

WEFT hosted the 3rd Annual Homelessness Marathon via our live broadcast in front of the station with a number of local guests who work in the field, as well as those who were homeless themselves. After the broadcast, the station presented a video at the Art Theatre on homeless teens in Seattle and donated the proceeds amongst the following local shelters:

• The Salvation Army
• Center for Women in Transition
• Catholic Worker House
