Womyn Making Waves

Independent music, news, poetry, and performance with wmwweft on Sunday 1-3pm.

Started in 1981, Womyn Making Waves is one of the oldest programs on WEFT. The show hosted by a collective; an ever-growing group of women dedicated to bringing independent music, news, poetry, and performance to women in east central Illinois. The show features live interviews and performances with local women as well as women from around the world. All genres of music are played and each member of the collective contributes her unique perspective and taste in music. The work of activists and music by lesbians is a regular part of most programs.

News from Neptune

Public Affairs with on Saturday 10-11am.

News from Neptune is an hour of discussion of the news of the week and its coverage by the media, co-hosted by Carl Estabrook and Paul Mueth. The show is named in honor of Noam Chomsky, who said,

"Either you repeat the same conventional doctrines everybody is saying, or else you say something true, and it will sound like it's from Neptune."
