They came to play. Concert recordings from the rock legacy, plus more. Emphasis on jam. Bands you used to know, thought you knew, and ought to know, from when the music never stopped.

A Pirate's Life for Me

Punk, rock, metal with Johnny X on Saturday 12-3am.

Punk, hard core, and scurvy!!

Roots, Rock, Reggae

Reggae with on Thursday 8-10pm.

Straight from Ganja Mountain, this show seeks to connect the Cross-cultural Revolution with reggae music coming straight from Jamaica.

The Raptor After Party

Indie Rock and Talk with on Wednesday 2-5am.

Great things come in pairs: Peanut butter and jelly. Bread and butter. Ham and cheese. And probably some non-sandwich related things too. But now, one of the greatest pairs ever is available for your listening pleasure!

Frosted Indie Wheats

Indie Rock with on Tuesday 12-2am.

A delicious blend of fancy, dancey indie rock picked out by theameliacat... get more show info, playlists, etc. at http://www.myspace.com/frostedindiewheats.

Dissonance

Experimental rock and beyond with Dissonance on Monday 12-2am.

How far can you seriously take Rock's verse, chorus, verse?? Our fearless host attempts to answer this riddle in musicology. Dissonance lunges toward the edge of every spectrum and wonders if jumping off may not be such a bad idea.

Also, local music/news, reviews, and general nonsense spouting from the right brain.

Help merge Rock and Indie Rock!

Date and time:
2007-12-01 08:00 - 12:00
CD Culls

What's the difference between rock and indie rock? Insert your own joke here; the Music Committee doesn't know either! So we're going to be merging the two sections into one giant section. We could use your help moving the CDs to the proper shelves. If you've been wanting to brush up on your alphabet, this is your chance!

Music Committee Blues & Loud Rock Rearrangement Shindig

Date and time:
2006-12-23 09:00 - 12:00

The shelves containing Loud Rock (orange) and Blues (blue) will be rearranged this Saturday to allow better access to the blues collection for our rockin' Lunch Bunch Blues host. Some changes will happen to the Goth/Industrial section, too, to facilitate this shift. No genres will lose any shelf space! This follows from Noether's theorem and the fundamental symmetry of Blues and Loud Rock.

"But how can I help?!" you are surely asking yourself. Just show up and lend a hand! We're just moving a bunch of CDs from one shelf to another, but it's a lot of tedious work, and the more the merrier. It's possible a couple of pizzas will show up somewhere during the move, but no promises just yet...
