Dining out this one day at any participating restaurant helps the 87 Community Shares member organizations make a difference in Illinois everyday.

PASHA and MEZZALUNA for LUNCH and DINNER.

What if making a difference in your community was as easy as lifting a fork? On Tuesday, March 11, restaurants in Champaign-Urbana, Chicago, Peoria and Springfield will give residents just that opportunity during the 5th Annual Share a Meal with Community Shares.

On March 11, 2008, participating restaurants will donate a portion of their sales to Community Shares and its 87 member organizations, Including WEFT 90.1 FM, Community Radio for East Central Illinois (Prairie Air, Inc.). Using pledge cards provided at the restaurants, diners will have the option of directing a portion of their bill to a specific member charity.

WEFT encourage everyone to participate in this event because it is simple, and really gives back to the community. All you have to do is dine out at one of the participating restaurants. Share a Meal combines the pleasure of eating with the joy of giving. What could be better?
