Dear WEFT Supporter,

Each year at this time we put out a call for candidates for the member-elected seats on the WEFT Board of Directors. Out of a total of four member-elected seats, there are three vacancies that can be filled during this year’s election. Normally only two seats are up for election each year. We had one member-elected Board member resign due to health reasons prior to the end of their term and so we need to fill the remainder of their term.

The Board of Directors will hold their regular meeting on Monday, February 25 from 7:30 - 9:30 pm. The meeting will be held at the Illinois Disciples Foundation located at the corner of Wright and Springfield in Champaign. Members of the public are invited and encouraged to attend.

Draft agenda:

The Board of Directors will be holding a special meeting on the Fiscal Year 2008 budget on Monday, Sept 10 at 7:30 PM, in the Boundurant Room at the Illinois Disciples Foundation, 610 E. Springfield Ave, Champaign.

Only the budget will be considered at this meeting.

The WEFT Board of Directors will be having a special meeting on Monday, Aug. 6 at 7 PM, in the Bondurant Room of the Illinois Disciples Foundation, at the corner of Springfield and Wright in Champaign.

This meeting is to address a legal matter, and therefore will be held in closed session. A short public comment period (10 minutes) will precede the closed session.

This is a special public study session of the Board of Directors focusing on the WEFT budget for the upcoming fiscal year. WEFT's bookkeeper will be in attendance in order to explain the budget and its categorization system, and to take questions.

This is not a regular or special meeting of the Board, therefore no business will take place.

Interested persons and members of the public are welcome to attend and participate, provided that individual respect is given and maintained.

The Board of Directors March meeting is Monday, June 25, 7:30 - 9:30 at McKinley Foundation on the corner of 5th and Daniel in Champaign. The meeting is open to the public and a open public comment period is scheduled for the first part of the meeting.

Come join us for our study session about getting WEFT back on-line with webcasting. We want your input about what it will take for us to reach that goal. We will be discussing all the various aspects of WEFT webcasting including hardware, software, policy, and the like.

All are invited to attend. Committee chairs are particularly encouraged to attend this meeting since this project will involve many different WEFT committees. A report of this study session will be presented to the Board.
