Conflict Resolution Committee
WEFT endeavors to reach out to many communities. To achieve this diversity, the station relies on the diversity of the volunteers it attracts. This diversity occasionally results in conflicts between members; this document is intended to help the station to amicably resolve these differences.
To ensure that the station reaches out to the many communities around it, WEFT will not tolerate hostility toward or harassment of any group or individual. This especially includes verbal, physical, and sexual harassment which not only affects the individual detrimentally, but also detrimentally affects WEFT as an organization.
Conflict Resolution Committee
The Conflict Resolution Committee (CRC) is a subcommittee of WEFT's Board of Directors. As such, it is the point of first contact when parties (individuals or groups with a common cause) at WEFT bring their differences to the Board. The Board approves members to the committee, and reserves the right to intervene in CRC activities when necessary.
Publicizing the CRC at WEFT
To be sure that everyone at WEFT is aware of the conflict resolution options available to them, all CRC procedures, members' contact information, etc. are to be:
- Posted at the station
- Posted on the WEFT website (see below)
- Provided in writing and introduced to all persons attending the WEFT Airshifter Training Course
- Posted to each WEFT electronic mailing list at least every six months, and
- Presented at least twice a year at WEFT Associates meetings.
