What is a WEFT Member?
A WEFT Member contributes financially to the station in the amount of $40 annually. Any natural person, not a corporation or an artificial person, can become a WEFT Member. The membership fee is determined by the Board of Directors and is subject to change.
Membership Term
The membership term is 12 months from from the first day of the calendar month following receipt and acceptance of payment or first minimum installment of $10. WEFT Membership is not transferable.
Membership Meetings
A meeting of the members may be called by the Chair of the Corporation, the Board of Directors by majority vote at a regular or special Board meeting, or any seven WEFT Members who call a meeting through a written petition addressed to the Chair of the WEFT Board of Directors. The Chair of the Board is responsible for announcing the place and time of the meeting, no less than 5 days and no more than 25 days before the meeting, by mail to all Members.
Member Voting
Members vote only on issues specifically designated to the membership in the Station Bylaws.
WEFT Members elect four members of the Board of Directors by mail-in ballot. Two Board Members are elected by the membership on even years and two on odd years.
