WEFT 90.1FM Increases Temporary Signal
After experiencing lightning and water damage to our 20-year old 10,000 watt transmitter due to the severe storms on May 30, WEFT was forced off the air for eight days. We then installed a 50-watt transmitter, allowing us to broadcast to a small portion of our audience for the next week. After that, as of Saturday, June 14, about 6:30PM, we installed another temporary transmitter to boost our power to just under 2000 watts, allowing us reach nearly half our coverage area.
We are still reviewing options on funding for a new transmitter. Listeners who cannot pick up the signal can tune into our webcast at by clicking on Listen Online! Updates on the station's progress will continue to posted here and on air.
We thank you for your patience and support! If you would like to contribute to the station, please click on the Donate Now button.
